title: mythos author: stephen fry pages: +- 400 language read in: english started: 16/1/2025 ended: 2/3/2025 opinionsince this book is divided into quite short and some very short chapters, this was a great book to read inbetween classes. i bought it in 2021 but only now really started reading it. it started with my mom saying that she was sad she didn't know much about greek and roman myths compared to me and my brother (i did 3 years of latin, my brother just started. we translated a lot of myths in those classes) and i said hey i have this great book i havent read with a shit ton of myths told in a non-academic way. she doesn't read in english though so we went to the library to get her the dutch translation and she finished it soon after. and then i was like hey. i should start reading again. so at first i put the book on my nightstand, and it just stayed there. i didn't read much because i was too tired after school to read. in february, though, i started taking it to school and yeah a month later i finished it! it was so much fun to rediscover the myths i already read and to discover the ones i didn't know of yet. stephen fry is an amazing storyteller. |
