hrt changelog

some of my notes i scribbled down to take to my next appointments and share with other trans people on the internet. don't take this as a "this is exactly what's going to happen to you when you go on this type of t", just sharing my experience.
non in-depth talks of libido and genitals and blablabla

7/11/2025: 1st endocronologist appointment

14/11/2025: 1st t-shot: testosterone besins (a nebido variant)

1 month on t: increased libido, convinced my voice sounds/feels a little different, but barely noticable. pre-t i've always had like a singular hard hair on my chin that i'd pull out, now there are 8. wasn't entirely convinced it was already because of the t but it probably was the t!

2 months on t: people start noticing a slight voice change. if i compare my voice notes, it definitely has changed, but for my parents (who hear me practically every day) the change was pretty gradual and not that noticable. starting to feel more confident :P

3 months on t: very noticable voice drop. stopped taking my lutenyl, had my period 1-2 times & some spotting. noticed i don't have a falsetto anymore (as in, no sound comes out). checkup at the endocrinologist, everything good.

march 2026: not exactly hrt, but had a big confidence boost due to not being misgendered as often now, feeling more open to exploring the local queer community.

5 months on t: more voice drop. had phantom penis a few times, very strange experience. tried to sing along with the radio and was totally off key, my brain and my voice haven't synced yet. pretty sure i almost completely pass now (albeit as a gay/slightly fem dude).

6 months on t: gaining a few more hard hairs on my chin. starting to form a sorta kinda happy trail. slight acne increase? pretty sure i've had some bottom growth as well. more voice drop. i can access a few falsetto notes but it does NOT sound good. if i train more i could probably make it sound good but i do not have time for all that lol

7 months on t: saw my youngest cousin (10) who i hadn't seen since january. our conversation:
him: *stares*
me: hi!
him: your voice!
me: yeah, do you like it?
him: *shakes head*
me: ...do you not like it?
him: *shakes head*
me: is it just a bit different?
him: *nods*
me: i get that.
i then had to leave and saw him again a week or two afterwards, where we had the same exact conversation. then he asked me if i wanted to play football.
him: oliver! you used to be a girl, and now you are a boy.
me: yeah man cool isn't it?
him: i'm still going to win though
idk i just love how he was like oliver = boy = wants to play football with me now. i've never played football with him before, or with anyone really because in middle/high school we didn't really do that and when i was younger the boys never let me play with them. it's incredibly euphoric.

summer 2026: short & swimming weather. mom is convinced my lower legs got hairier, at first i didnt believe her but i think they did. my thighs and are also hairy as fuck. had my period on vacation, probably because of altitude changes unless that's a myth? idk. had some VERY painful cramps (as in couldn't sleep bc of them but too stubborn to take a painkiller) around this time, much more painful than my usual period cramps. unsure if this was because of atrophy, will discuss it at my next appointment.
at the point in my transition where elderly ladies start complimenting me. no idea if that's a common event or? played football with some kids in the neighbourhood at a barbecue.

9 months on t: need to shave every 1-2 weeks. mom sometimes comments on the itchyness of my "beard". i think i have about the same beard growth as my cousin now (we're the same age). in some spots the hairs are kinda dark and noticable so yay! mostly light/blond hairs though lol. bit more acne on my face and arms, not too bothered by it. could also be because of the sweaty weather and all that.
